Reflections on "The Red Pyramid" by Rick Riordan

(The following picture that is in my blog post is not mine, and I do not take any credit for this picture)

Today, I have read a book which is called "The Red Pyramid" by the fantastic author Rick Riordan. After reading this book I have a few reflections that I have to make based on my opinion about this book. In this book especially, the characters are very interesting and appealing. For example, I think that it is hilarious how Sadie and her brother Carter always write in the book and take turns writing. I think it is interesting because it is unlike other books I have read where most of the time it is a narrator telling a story and the people are actually talking. This method of writing a book is interesting because you hear the opinions of two different people, but in the same book, while in other books the main story is based on one person's opinion of what's going on. The other characters in this book other than Sadie and Carter aren't that interesting or as appealing though, such as Amos, even though he is their uncle. For example, Carter's grandparents are kind of strange especially because they accuse Carter's father of murdering his mother, even though as I learned in the book that she died at Cleopatra's Needle. One thing that keeps me reading this book is the suspense. For example, at one moment of the book, Carter and Sadie are walking to the museum, and a little bit later Carter's dad is forced into a coffin by some evil Egyptian forces who are basically planning on taking over the world. As usual, the suspense is what keeps me reading this book especially. This book is a pleasurable book to read, and every single part of it is interesting. Well done Rick Riordan, I do not find this book boring at all. I think that someone else would like this book because it is full of suspense and according to my reading experience it never gets boring. I have read many other books by this author such as most, if not all of the Percy Jackson series. I picked up this book because its author is a very good author who writes books that are appealing to me. I usually pick up any book either because of its title and description, or because I have read other books by the same author. As I have basically said before, I usually pick up a book that is full of suspense, and is based on some kind of mythology such as Greek and Egyptian mythology.

Reflections on "Scorpia" by Anthony Horowitz

(P.S. The book cover picture is NOT mine)

During Reading Day, I read a really interesting book with the name of "Scorpia" by Anthony Horowitz. Now that I have read it, I have a few reflections to make. Personally, I think that most of the characters, if not all of them, were very interesting. For example, Julia Rothman is a very interesting lady in the book who for a reason that I still don't understand has a tiger at her desk. Alex Rider, the main person in the books as always is a good character who ends up saving the world in different ways. Usually if you like the characters in a book, you get entertained. That's what keeps me reading this book. It was very hard, especially for me, to put the book down after class was over, even though the cover with scorpions kind of scares me and then I'm afraid of every step that I take just in case there is a scorpion. This book is certainly working for me as reading for pleasure. Every single sentence in this book makes me want to read the next sentence. There is NO single boring bit in this book, even the part where there is this party with famous people because Alex Rider somehow sneaks around the crowd, and ends up in Julia Rothman's office, with a tiger!!! I think that someone else would definitely like this book, because it is always full of suspense, and like I said before you will never get bored. Every sentence will not be complete until you read the next one. That is how I felt while I was reading this book. I think that I have read every single other book by the author, Anthony Horowitz. I picked up this book because it had an interesting cover and name. I usually pick up any book because of the title, or because it is a book that was written by a goof author, such as Anthony Horowitz. My favorite kinds of books to read are like these kind of books; full of suspense and full of mystery.

I SUGGEST THAT YOU READ THIS BOOK!!!
